There are a range of clubs and associations in the parish, operating from each of the village halls :

• in Bishopswood; Bridge Club, Community Association, Rainbow Guides, Short Mat Bowls' Club, Village Hall Committee, Women's Institute, groups such as Jumpstart, Martial Arts and Mature Movers and a range of Adult Community Learning Classes
• in Walford; Churchwomen's Fellowship, Green Colley Grove Residents' Association, Kerne Bridge Mother and Toddler Group, South Herefordshire Cottage Garden Society, Village Hall Committee, Walford Dance Group, Walford Parish Residents' Association, Walford Pre-School Playgroup, Walford Royal British Legion – Women's Section, Women's Institute.  The 3 sections of the Scout Group (Beavers, Cubs and Scouts) meet at the Scout Hut next to Walford church

South Herefordshire Cottage Garden Society  - click here to see the annual programme

This group is the local branch of the National Cottage Garden Society and meets monthly on the first Saturday of the month, except for January when there is no meeting

The annual programme usually comprises 6 meetings with speakers and a May Plant Sale, all held at Walford Village Hall.  At the village hall meetings there are usually plants for sale and also a small library of books for members to borrow.  The December AGM is combined with a Christmas Lunch and is also at Walford Village Hall

During the summer months the meetings take the form of garden visits - this year there's a 3 day short break to visit Beth Chatto's garden and others in that area.  In May the Society will be running the stall for the CGS at the Malvern Spring Show

If you're interested in any of the programme events, then please come along to the village hall - visitors are most welcome.  Details of membership can be obtained from the Memb Sec at the meetings
