WALFORD NEIGHBOURHOOD DEVELOPMENT PLAN:
The Parish Council has committed to producing a Neighbourhood Plan that will enable the Parish to have a far greater say in how housing development can be controlled at local level rather than just have development imposed on us at County level. The first significant milestone in preparing the Plan has been completed. A questionnaire was sent out to every household in the Parish. Independent response analysis has been carried out and the data gas been sent out to all households. The data is available on the Projects page: Neighbourhood Development Plan. Now that the Herefordshire Council Core Strategy has been formally adopted, the Steering Group has been holding meetings, to progress the project to the next phase.
WALFORD NEIGHBOURHOOD DEVELOPMENT PLAN (NDP) GROUP, ON BEHALF OF WALFORD PARISH COUNCIL IS LOOKING AT THE POTENTIAL AVAILABILITY OF LAND FOR A RANGE OF USES ACROSS THE PARISH UP TO 2031. This process is being undertaken as part of the evidence base to support the preparation of the Walford NDP. This is an opportunity for landowners and developers to propose sites within Walford Parish for development.
The call for sites resulted in 16 proposed sites, which have been sent to our independent consultant for assessment. The analysis of sites has thrown up some issues and the documents have been sent to Herefordshire Council for consideration; the PC will use the consultant to assist with this orocess.
