Minutes of the meeting of Walford Parish Council Finance Committee on Thursday 7 January 2021

1. Apologies for absence: – Councillor Cole, gritting

2. Declarations of interest and written requests for dispensation: – None

3. Adoption of Minutes of previous meeting: – resolved to adopt the minutes of the meeting held on 2nd December 2020 as a true and accurate record and to be signed by the Chair once physical meetings are resumed.

4. Public participation session: – none

5. Financial information: –
5.1 Resolved to accept the income & expenditure statement for the period to end December 2020
5.2 Resolved to approve the bank statements and reconciliation for December 2020, councillor Akers will sign once physical meetings are resumed
5.3 Resolved to continue operating income & expenditure accounting
5.4 Review of financial regulations is to be deferred until the new banking arrangements are in place

6. Payments: –
6.1 Resolved to approve the payments as per Appendix 3
6.2 Resolved to ratify the payments on Appendix 3
6.3 The clerk & WCSS co-ordinator booked no overtime for December 2020

7. Budget 2020/21: –
7.1 The Draft budget was discussed, it is in the final stage of preparation

8. Smart Water: – updated figures were provided by councillor Van Lienden for input to the draft budget.

9. Risk Management: – To be reviewed when the new banking arrangements are in place

10.3 Risk management schedule update

11. Next meeting: – Wednesday 2nd February 2021 at 7.30pm – venue and style of meeting to be confirmed
