NDP – Further Call For Sites

Walford Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) Steering Group, on behalf of Walford Parish Council, is looking at the potential availability of land, for a range of uses, across the parish up to 2031. A previous call for sites was issued in 2017 and the sites proposed then are being carried forward to the current exercise. This process is being undertaken as part of the evidence base to support the preparation of the Walford NDP. This is an opportunity for landowners and developers to propose sites within Walford Parish for development. If you want a site(s) to be considered, we would like you to complete a Site Submission Form for each site.

Completing a form will not in itself lead to a site being allocated for development by the NDP, nor will it commit the proposer(s) to applying for planning consent. All sites submitted will be independently assessed to see if they meet a set of criteria, and could be suitable for development. Consultation with residents is a vital part of this process, and will take place to help us with the Plan.

All new site submissions must be received, by the clerk, by 29th February 2020. Walford Parish Council intend to undertake site assessment during March and April 2020, following a public consultation on the assessment process.

The site details submitted will be in the public domain but names and contact information will be treated as confidential. The Site Submission Form is available to download here or email the clerk to Walford Parish Council at clerk@walford-pc.org.uk to be sent a form.

Any queries about submitting sites should be directed via the ‘contact us’ form or by email to the clerk.

If the status of any sites that were submitted in 2017 have changed, such as ownership or availability for development, then owners should contact the clerk to record these changes. Please return completed forms no later than Saturday 29th February 2020.

The Neighbourhood Development Plan Steering Group will be holding 2 public consultation events on 22nd and 29th February 2020 and you are welcome to bring completed forms to either of these events.
