The Kerne Bridge canoe launch is one of the most popular on the River Wye. The river itself was voted the most popular river in England in 2010. The site is owned by the Parish Council and managed during the season by Riverseas Holdings Ltd. There is parking for around 30 vehicles, parking charges apply, and easy access for visiting canoe company buses and their trailers.
Launching is aided by a large preparation area adjacent to a purpose built ramp. The stretch of river from the Kerne Bridge launch to Symonds Yat is one of the most popular and beautiful 1/2 day tours on the river. If you are stopping off here for lunch then the Inn on the Wye is a short walk away towards Ross on Wye. Numerous local canoe hire companies use the launch.

Parishioners can obtain a car parking permit to make use of the canoe launch car park free of charge. Just email the clerk via the contact page with a subject of “Car Park Permit”, including your house name, postcode and vehicle registration number in the message area. The next time you use the car park (in season April-September) ask the site manager for your permit.
