Walford Parish Council is recruiting for a Parish Clerk, ideally with previous local government experience, or a willingness to learn. If you have any of the following skills and experience, we are really interested to engage with you:

  • Local government knowledge including that of key policies such as Data Protection, Freedom of Information and Employment Law

  • Administrative skills including the preparation of agendas, minutes and press releases

  • Financial confidence to monitor and manage accounts and prepare for audit

  • Management of multi stakeholder communities including councillors, the public and third-party contractors

  • Excellent communication and social skills to engage and work with individuals across the Parish

In return we can offer you home-based and flexible working hours (with some evening meeting commitment) of 12 hours a week, comprehensive training and support, and a competitive salary.
